Apologies, I’ve been very bad about posting updates here to the main page, mostly because of burnout from the massive effort of archiving and mirroring content in early 2019. That said, in the past two years, there have been a number of new translations and revisions to existing ones.

Advance! Kitakou Broadcasting Club

The first eleven chapters (and their accompanying side stories) have been revised by their original translator. Images and pages that were originally included in these chapters but were later omitted have also all been translated, and are available on separate pages with indications to their original placement. In addition, several more chapters of the main storyline have been scanlated, including the following:

• Chapter 17: “I Was the One Who Wrote ‘Little Tit Fetish’ On Kusashima’s Report”
• Chapter 17.5: “The Sports Festival is Hell”
• Side Story: “A Jumble of Side Stories”
• Side Story: “The Stamp Rally From Hell”

In addition, several other side stories have also been scanlated.

Advance! Kitakou Broadcasting Club Pure

Three stories that were originally part of Pure but were later moved under the umbrella of the Classic series – Kitakou in the Showa Period, A Jumble of Side Stories, and A Yunyun Transmission – have been scanlated and are listed in both indexes. In addition, the following story from the Notosama sub-series has been scanlated:

Bubutan

The entirety of Bubutan has been scanlated (and re-scanlated after several existing ones were lost due to the shutdown of imageshack). New scanlations that have been completed in the past two years include the following:

Other Content Notes

In addition to the above, a revised scanlation for MoeKan has been completed, including scanlations of a couple of images that were omitted from the first translation.

More scanlations are in the works, and we’re excited to provide access to more of Himaruya’s non-Hetalia works for an English-speaking audience.

Due to Geocities’ imminent closure in Japan, the past sixth months has been spent mirroring as much content as possible here and on hetarchive. And while there have been a handful of new translations in the meantime, that aspect has taken a backseat as we are likely to experience some loss of content no matter what we do.
 
Key items have already been backed up, though efforts remain to search for and back up more obscure content. If you happen to have any content by Himaruya that is not already present on this website or on Hetarchive, please contact us on our Tumblr or leave a comment on this post.
 
We’ll hopefully have more news coming soon.

So there’s still more maintenance and general setup to be done, but the site design is complete enough that we can officially launch! This site has been a long time in the making, with draft versions of this site existing back as far as 2015. Over the coming weeks more series indexes and translations will be made available. Though, like with Hetarchive, this site is being updated and maintained around real life obligations.
　

So what exactly is this site? Well, Himaruya has other works aside from Hetalia, and this site is dedicated to showcasing them. Webcomics like Advance! Kitakou Broadcasting Club and Barjona Bombers have their own sections on Kitayume like Hetalia, and Himaruya has officially published other manga like Chibisan Date.
　

(Also the person writing this post is FH14/barjonabombers/luke_biwalker/etc who also runs the Kitawiki websites. Jammerlea and Sammich from Hetarchive are also involved with this project (and provide hosting, hint hint nudge nudge ko-fi) but have a lot on their plate and I’m doing my best to help out.)
