Flagship Series

The following are the flagship webcomics of Kitayume.

Advance! Kitakou Broadcasting Club (すすめ!きたこー放送部)
Originally ran from 2003 until 2004, with a brief revival in 2007. The story follows Noto Kanazawa, a first year student at Koriyama Kitakou High School who is working to keep his school’s Broadcasting Club from getting shut down.
Advance! Kitakou Broadcasting Club Pure (すすめ!きたこー放送部PURE)
Originally ran from 2004 until 2006. A alternate, expanded version of Advance! Kitakou Broadcasting Club, the story likewise follows Noto Kanazawa on his quest to keep his school’s Broadcasting Club from being shut down, but diverges sharply from the original.
Barjona Bombers (バルヨナボンバーズ)
Originally ran from 2004 until 2011. A spinoff of Advance! Kitakou Broadcasting Club Pure, the story follows a group of delinquents at Barjona Marine High School who are tasked with running their school’s revived Broadcasting Club.
The Deserted House (ずろうの棲処)
A 2006 Visual Novel which spawned a handful of comics that ran from 2006 until 2008. A spinoff of Barjona Bombers, the story follows a girl named Youko who takes a part-time job as a maid at a strange house…
Hetalia: Axis Powers (ヘタリア Axis Powers)
Originally ran from 2006 through 2015, and intermittently since. The story follows anthromorphic representations of different countries as they illustrate stereotypes and moments in history, as well as the cultural differences between them.

Sub-Series

The following are special sub-series within the shared universe of Advance! Kitakou Broadcasting Club Pure, Barjona Bombers, and The Deserted House.

Wotaemon (ヲタえもん)
Originally ran from 2004 until 2005. These comics act as a reimagining of the popular manga and anime series Doraemon primarily using Iriyoshi Toyama and Hinaji Kasukabe from Advance! Kitakou Broadcasting Club Pure.
Notosama (のとさま)
Originally ran from 2004 until 2008, and intermittently since. The story follows Kitakou protagonist Noto Kanazawa after his mental break and personality change, where he now wears a girl’s school uniform and goes by the title “Noto-sama”.

Other Series

Bubutan (ぶーさん)
Originally ran from 2005 until 2009. A series of comics about Hidekaz Himaruya’s pet bunny “Bubu”.
Okinawa Heart (うちなんちゅぬ心)
A game concept released in 2006, followed by a comic in 2008. The story follows a Japanese-American girl named Michelle Kyan as she moves from the United States to Okinawa, where she struggles to adapt to the new culture and language.
